- - Purchased a used Pioneer All-in-One DJ unit; payment processed, then canceled hours later as sold to someone else; outdated inventory system.
This company sold me used pioneer All in One DJ unit, took my payment, processed the payment, and then cancelled the order and shipment hours later saying it had been sold to somebody else! After accepting full payment from my credit card.
What kind of outdated inventory system is this that they dont know if an item is actually in stock before selling it to you? They have a script ready to go with reasons why this can happen, but it does not excuse this behavior in 2025 with robust technology and inventory systems available. Even on pending orders.
Don't do business here. Extremely frustrating experience

This is the 1st and last time I do business with this company, its not bad enough the Akai MPC I bought made me sick from day 1 because of a undisclosed toxic chemical Which I can sort of get over because this company sells musical instruments for a living and I understand mistakes happen but what I cant get over is the fact that Iv received one email going on 4 days now and all they have to say for them themselves is we want the product back. For selling an undisclosed toxic chemical is illegal and the lawsuit paidout, ranges from $100k-$1m + fines from the EPA and possible criminal charges.
Since Ive brought this up to the company, theyve added cancer label warning to the product. But I have pictures of it not being there. At first, I blamed this on incompetence but since they lack a a single crap its moved from incompetence to straight malevolence in my eyes. This company is just stalling, waiting for the payment to come around or for me to ship them back this poisonous toxic product that was never disclosed to me in the first place which they broke the law doing and their silence Represents 100% weakness but is the only way for them to even remotely take control over the situation which is the equivalent of what a child would do.
Smarter enough to fold the average perks in, but not smart enough to fool me this company desperately needs a reality check when it comes to the law. They really left me with one option and thats to take them to court over this.
Preferred solution: Honestly, I would strongly appreciate it if we could resolve this issue outside of a court room, but they’re leaving me no option

I bought a few items from zZounds.com: A Rane MKII for $899, Pioneer DJM-S5 for $839, and a back-ordered Akai MPC LT for $699. The Rane and the Pioneer were delivered separately due to the Akai MPC being back-ordered.
I always choose sign-on delivery. Once the allotted time for the back order had passed and I still hadn't received the Akai MPC, I called to inform them that I had not received it, but I was still being charged the monthly payment for it. They instructed me to wait a little longer to see if it would come in. After another month and having fully paid off my other two items, I called them again to inform them that I was still being charged $186 a month for the Akai MPC, which had not shown up.
After multiple attempts to stop the payments or have them send me the item, I was faced with nothing but run arounds and hang-ups. I contacted their shipping company; they were unable to locate a picture or confirmation that it had been sent or delivered. I have now received a letter labelled 'FINAL NOTICE', stating that I need to pay one more payment of $186 or else the item will be sent to collections. I still have not received the Akai MPC.
I called them again and their response was that there was nothing they could do and that I needed to pay for the item I never received or it would be sent to collections. I received and paid in full for the two other items without any issues on my end, so why wouldn't I pay for the third item? This company not only failed to send me my item but continuously deducted $186 from my bank account monthly and still wants me to pay more. This is a horrible company!
Do not spend your money here. It is a complete rip-off!

Question about credit for another guitar
- - The numbers don't work; as a loyal autopay customer who never missed a payment, I need a guitar quickly, and a rep failed to enter my new phone info.
None of their numbers work. Tried to call about picking up "another" guitar without a missed payment.
I know it's close to Christmas, but it also means it's close to New Year's, biggest gigs of the year. Been a loyal customer for years and do auto pay so never missed a payment. I would think that I'm one of the customers they'd want to keep? I had a catastrophic blowout and I need an axe coming quick.

You are losing a very loyal customer

I made a return, one return since I have spending thousands of dollars since 2018 consistently. After that one return I was cut off or flagged because I am a potential risk.
I have been an extremely loyal customer for over 6 years. And I kept my account up to date any time I fell behind, I called up made arrangements and caught immediately. ZZounds is the first bill I pay before anybody. Because I never wanted to lose this line of credit.
The machine I returned was the wrong machine. Normally I would have kept it but, I could not use it. It didnt sample. After all these years of buying equipment.
You flag me for a return? I even still call up and buy gear with out payments. You are going to lose a very good loyal customer to American Music Supply.
I dont understand the pettiness. Can someone from corporate or Management look into my account please
